The use of high frequency radio waves to rapidly cure PVA adhesive is a well tried and tested process.
The RF ELECTRO-BOND range of curing systems, which has recently been introduced by Coaxial Power Systems Ltd., brings the technology up to date.

The RF ELECTRO-BOND 600 consists of two units - a combined power supply and tuning unit and a remote applicator.
The power supply is fully transistorised (solid state) and naturally conforms to all relevant current EMC (electromagnetic radiation) regulations.
Tuning is fully automatic and ensures that the required amount of power is delivered to the applicator over a wide range of wood thicknesses.
Operation of the unit is very easy - a minimum of operator training being necessary.
The advantage of a Solid State RF Power Supply is its inherent high reliability - no more high cost valves to replace on a regular basis. The unit is air cooled - air being drawn through the base of the unit and expelled through the rear. At the air input, a replaceable filter removes any sawdust before the air enters the case.
Digital meters display the forward and reflected power in Watts. These are true power readings showing exactly how much power is being put into the applicator - not some nebulous current reading!
The RF ELECTRO-BOND 600 applicator weighs less than 1Kg and is thus easy to handle. The standard plug-in bar electrodes can be simply changed for special purpose electrodes such as internal and external corner joints. Roller electrodes, for use on curved edges, are also available. An ergonomically positioned momentary switch in the handle is used to switch the RF power ON- releasing the switch turns the RF power OFF.
The RF ELECTRO-BOND 600 is a precision made tool, of robust construction with low maintenance, no external moving parts, operator friendly and fully CE approved.
